Initial Exam

A healthy mouth and confident smile are important to your overall health. To achieve these goals, we will evaluate and determine the necessary x-rays to ensure the decisions for your care are based on current and complete information. We believe getting to know you and your personal dental care objectives is important in this process. Our careful approach ensures that unhealthy areas are noted, and a complete plan to achieve optimal health can be presented. This complete plan may be presented at a separate consultation appointment if your case is complex, requiring more detailed analysis. You may then decide how you would like to proceed with your treatment options.

Once a patient’s dental condition has been restored to good health, regular check ups are made to prevent problems from developing unnoticed. A recall exam is an opportunity for us to again thoroughly look at all the areas associated with the mouth, head, and neck area and compare findings to previous records. This ‘recall exam’ is often combined with a maintenance cleaning, generally performed once every 6 months.

Emergency

If you have any pain or area of concern, we will examine the area in question to diagnose the problem. Palliative care will be done immediately and further treatment options will be explained to you so you can decide on a course of action.
